Will Rogers Says

When the judgment day comes, civilization will have an alibi: 'I never took a human life, I only sold the fellow the gun to take it with.'" - July 15, 1929

Quote provided by the Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Claremore. Quote excerpted from Will Rogers' published works.

  1. I look forward to seeing Dog Gone give you a smack down for faulty use of authority.

  2. Once again, Greg Camp demonstrates both his towerin' pyre of teh burnin' stoopit and his lack of any ability to catch the joke.

Will Rogers is NOT an authority, nor did Mikeb302000 appeal to him as an authority. Pompous and pedantic is no way to go through life, son.

  3. Democommie,

    1. I'm not your son. That'll be just enough of that, now.

    2. Once again, you show how you don't understand. I have no objection to quoting interesting remarks from famous people, so long as we understand that those are of rhetorical value only and so long as we have accurate quotations. It's Dog Gone who objects to anything that isn't a fact or an opinion of some post-modernist scholar.

  4. Greg Camp:

You're the one who brought it up, dipshit. The original post made no appeal to authority. Face it, son, you're way the fuck out of your depth.

  5. I thought it was a cool quote, Greg. That's all.

  6. As long as we recognize that a quotation from Charlton Heston would be as significant, I have no objection.

You are really such an idiot.

Charlton Heston was the PRESIDENT OF THE FUCKING NRA.

Will Rogers, afaia, was never an officer of any anti-fuckheadz wit teh gunz group.

So, no, son, there is no equivalency.

  8. DC - the NRA has no law making capability in our government so any statements by them or their members/officers are merely opinions on how things should be. I think that would be equivalent to any statements made by a popular actor/actress.
