More on the Change in VA Gun Law

via Mad Mike

It comes as no surprise that the Virginia governor is a republican tried and true, as he signed off on the legislation despite the fact that the vast majority of the state’s residents were opposed to this repeal.
I don't know what I like better, Mike's observation or that wonderful pro-gun propaganda of a graphic.

  1. The claim about a vast majority of residents being against this is an exaggeration, no? After all, the Republicans won the majority of seats in the legislature and won the governor's house. If the gun grabbing side wants us to accept that the majority in states like New York or California don't want expanded gun rights, they could at least accept that other states make different choices.

  2. First of all, I'm not sure what's meant by "vast." It may well be an exaggeration. But, more importantly, the gun rights issue is not divided exactly along the party lines.

    1. Exactly so, I as do point out to people on my side. We do better in gaining support by calling gun rights a question of freedom, not one's position on the left - right spectrum. With more gun rights supporting Democrats, gun control will go away for a long time.
